Not to say upset.

Friday I went for breakfast at Yakun. The cashier auntie told me I was very lucky because I got two double yolks (at the same price). Well but then it did not seem the case actually. It was quite a stressful day and, by evening I was down with a very severe throat inflammation. I tried to see a doctor but after an hour's wait, I was still 15 patients away from my turn. Hence I decided to go home and take a rest first. The next morning I tried my luck again and managed to see the doctor after 1.5 hours of waiting -.-

The doctor said my inflammation was not as bad as he had expected. I didn't know whether to feel happy or not. He advised that for the next two days, "You should have some vocal rest or bluntly put, shut up unless you have opinions that you are dying to express". Wow. Interesting advice a doctor can give his patient yeah? So anyway, I spent more than half the day sleeping and slacking.

Today, I decided to catch Cold War 2 myself, since I have had enough of waiting. The bird's eye view shot at the beginning seems to imply the insignificance of the police force especially when in opposition with the villains in the show. I really like the intricateness of the acting of almost every veteran actor, not forgetting to mention that the cast is actually made up of many familiar faces whom I have not seen in ages. Chow Yun Fat's fluency, Aaron Kwok's calmness and Charlie Yeung's sophisticated emotions are very well conveyed and what I want to compliment most is the awesomely written dialogues, especially those of M.B Lee performed by Tony Leung Ka-fai. The dialogues alone, without the elaborate actions, were sufficient to create much tension between the two opposing forces. Overall I will rate this film 4/5, 0.5 higher than what I would have rated the prequel. On a side note, Kwok's performance has evidently matured a lot.

I do feel better after watching the movie. I wouldn't even say I was upset to begin with. I was just, slightly disappointed. People often ask me to wait for them, and I always oblige. But somehow, they have always gone ahead of me without my knowledge. If life were a race between the hare and the tortoise, then maybe I would be that hare. Only difference is, my defeat was often because I gladly waited for people to catch up. Yet the truth is, who really bothers?

Everyone lives his own life, I guess. While I sometimes, naively, put some people at the top of my list of life's priorities, they may not do the same. It's okay, I tell myself. Because really, such is life.
